Enter a race, before it’s too late!

Today we officially launched the 2024 Lumary City-Bay Fun Run, the 50th anniversary of this iconic, much-loved event that for five decades has brought our community together. So great to catch up inspirational women Taryn Brumfitt and Anna Liptak, Joe Stevens and his team, the incredible Studio Pilates crew and the many sponsors and supporters.
These past 50 years were borne and built through the efforts of City-Bay founder Bob Clarke AM who with a committee of dedicated volunteers established the first event in 1973.
Mr Clarke was an amazing South Australian; his vision and those early efforts of Mr Clarke and his team are central to the fact that this event continues to thrive 50 years on.
Over each of the last 50 years, the City Bay has encouraged the young, the not so young, people of every age in between, people from all walks of life, all abilities and all levels of fitness to connect through traversing that well-worn path from our city to beautiful Glenelg in their tens of thousands.
The City Bay is entwined in the rhythm and calendar of our state – it is known, it is loved, and it makes a difference – to individuals, to the cohesion of our community and to those who need a hand.
Thank you so much to all who make it so, to those who fundraise for such crucial causes through the event, to all who participate and cheer one another on.
Let’s make this 50th event even more special – please register for 15 September.
